School’s out for another summer, and as the good weather continues the Great Northern has launched a huge family-friendly sandpit to keep the kids entertained over the holidays.
Housed in the basin of the iconic amphitheater, the fun and free community sandpit is open for six weeks with 50 tonnes of beach-washed sand and logs to enjoy.
As the epicenter of the city’s world-famous industrial heritage, the Great Northern’s sandpit will revive the city’s historic tradition of creating free and safe play areas for children to play outdoors.
Chill Factore launches new snow experience, Altitude.
Chill Factore, one of Manchester’s favourite visitor attractions, has announced a new interactive snow challenge called Altitude. The fun ‘Reach the Peaks’ format is designed to add a competitive element to the real snow excitement.
Altitude is open to everyone from the age of four upwards and features all of Chill Factore’s favourite snow and ice rides including Downhill Donuts, Luge Slip’n’Slide and Sledge-O-Mania.
