Out on the coast there are seascapes aplenty with no less than 1,500 beaches waiting to be discovered. From calm turquoise seas and white sands in the Scottish Highlands, to Old Red Sandstone in Devon, every beach, cove, and bay is unique. Look a little closer to find history woven into the landscape. Neolithic monuments, fortresses, follies and an impressive canal network from our industrial past.
If you like walking, try a new route in one of 15 national parks. Take the South West Coast Path and see Durdle Door, or venture to Silverdale in the North West, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you’d like to see the countryside from a whole new perspective, take to the water on our rivers and canals.
Venture to the city for culture, fashion, art and shopping. If you love to shop, dine and immerse yourself in city life, take a break somewhere new and exciting.
