Pack a picnic and head to Shropshire’s loveliest outdoor pool to bathe under blue skies
There is something especially…
Ludlow Farmshop is a one-of-a-kind food shopping experience where farming, food production and retailing come together to create an award-winning environment...
Passionate about local food, 80% of the food sold comes from Shropshire and its surrounding counties. Ludlow Farmshop is designed to not only sell food but to produce it and over half of the products are made in production units that surround the shop. These are visible through glass windows that allow you to see the artisan producers making your food by hand.
Ludlow Farmshop believe in the simple pleasure of better tasting, real food which means they have a philosophy around how it is produced. It is a philosophy of practical invention, keeping skills and flavours alive and making the most of the region.
The food is made by real people, with produce reared or grown on their
own farms and using time-honoured methods that have been tried and tested.
They adopt a slower and more responsible approach, ensuring their produce is better considered, produced and above all, tastes better.
As it is made in small batches by hand, the food is seen, smelt and tasted to ensure that they bring you great tasting real food.
Don’t just take their word for it... visit them and you will find a range of products to taste in the shop or from the production counters.
As well as those produced by their artisans, Ludlow Farmshop stock a range of local fruit and vegetables, alcohol, soft drinks, sugar, cereals, milk, frozen foods, crisps and snacks, confectionery and store cupboard items. Their policy is simple, where possible they look to create it themselves, if they can’t, they look to Shropshire, then to the surrounding counties.
There is also a gift shop selling a range of gifts for him, for her and for children as well as for the house and for pets. It is here that you will also find the artist in situ. This changes regularly so as to support as many local artists as possible and also offer a fresh new range for visitors.
Make the most of your visit by having a bite to eat at farm shop café, Ludlow Kitchen, or pub and country inn, The Clive Arms, explore the plant centre or take a break in the play and picnic area.
