Animal Parks, Zoo's and Safari Parks
For a day out why not visit an Animal Park, Zoo or Safari Park in the UK, helping with conservation and wild life around the world.
Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park is set to bring in spring with two weeks of family-friendly activities, from 30th March – 14thApril, as the attraction reopens for 2019.
Ranked as the 6th most popular paid attraction in Scotland in a recent report produced by ASVA (Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions), the independent, family-owned Stirlingshire attraction will host The Big Spring Fling throughout the spring school holidays.
Keepers at Birdland Park and Gardens are looking after a flock of new arrivals.
With spring just around the corner the Bourton-on-the-Water wildlife attraction is welcoming a host of new birds.
Among the new feathered arrivals are a female crowned crane, a hamerkop, a male blacksmith plover, a Madagascan teal and a pair of blue bellied rollers which will all move into the park’s new ‘Out of Africa’ feature.
Honest, bubbly and an all-round nice monkey Maarten is looking for love in the form of an adoption at Drusillas Park this Valentine’s Day.
As one of the only animals at the park without an adopter, keepers have put the 6-year-old Colobus monkey in the local lonely hearts column to find him a perfect match.
Head Keeper, Sophie Leadbitter, said: “Obviously Maarten is loved by his keepers and visitors alike, but it’s heart-breaking for us to see his empty adoption plaque outside his enclosure every day.”
