If you thought eco and vegan festivals were just for vegan and veggie families – think again. Everyone is enjoying vegan these days from Will.I.AM and Jennifer Lopez to Benedict Cumberbatch and Brad Pitt. Vegan week from Great British Bake Off showed us just how much fun everyone can have with vegan food and now the supermarkets appear to be competing with each other as to who can bring out the best new vegan goodies. Vegans now have their own cool menus in most mainstream restaurants, pubs and cafes.
Malvern Autumn Show, in association with Westons Cider Mill, is back for a bountiful weekend bursting with harvest fun, horticultural know-how and family entertainment on September 29-30.
More than 65,000 visitors are expected to visit the family-friendly festival at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, which celebrates the very best of the great British countryside and the autumn harvest.
Visitors to The Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018 can slash the cost of parking by pre-booking their space.
The Races – set to be the UK’s largest free family event in 2018– will begin on Tuesday 10 July, when a magnificent fleet of more than 50 vessels will arrive at the port of Sunderland, at the North East coast.
This will mark the start of a five-day festival of entertainment before the ships depart for Esbjerg, Denmark. The entertainment – which will include street theatre, food and refreshments, displays and live music – will be spread across four event zones.
SUNDERLAND residents and visitors to The Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018 are being urged to take note of road closures during the five-day festival of sail.
From 11 to 14 July, the city, which is the start port for the international sailing event, will welcome up to 1.5m visitors keen to see the 55 ships taking part and enjoy a packed schedule of music, theatre, circus and dance.
And, to make sure the festival goes without a hitch, Sunderland City Council is encouraging people to plan their journeys in advance.
