The World’s Largest Tiki Cocktail Festival Heads to Trader Vic’s London

On Friday 18th October, London icon Trader Vic’s will host the mother of all tiki cocktail parties, reaching global proportions, as the venue welcomes The Hukilau's London tiki-takeover.

Gathered for one night only will be top tiki talent and rum experts from around the world with bar tenders from the U.S., France, Spain, and local London legends throwing one hell of a tiki party as part of the line-up for UK Rum Fest.

The Hukilau, regarded as the world’s largest tiki cocktail party, was born stateside over 16 years ago when friends who met on Tiki forums embarked on a rum-laden adventure to create a meet up that morphed into an all-out celebration. Ian Burrell, founder of UK Rum Fest and regular guest speaker at The Hukilau US wanted to bring the party to London and where better than Trader Vic’s, the UK’s oldest tiki bar.

Making the trip across the Atlantic are mixologists from the world-renowned Mai-Kai, bringing their legendary cocktails to London for only the second time, Scotty Schuder from Dirty Dick (Paris), Oriol Elias (Barcelona), as well as bartenders from London’s own Laki Kane and Trailer Happiness.Bartender from The World’s Largest Tiki Cocktail Festival

Regular and sample size cocktails, street food eats as well as a la carte dining options will be available on the night. Cocktail master classes will also be in full swing throughout the evening, as well as an “insider’s” presentation on the art of Trader Vic’s by Eve Bergeron (Granddaughter of Trader Vic’s founder Victor Bergeron).
