Sandford Parks Lido was built in 1935 and has been operating as a not-for-profit 
charitable trust since 1996. Set within four acres of landscaped gardens and consisting of two heated pools, plus a children’s paddling pool, it is the perfect day out for all the family. The main pool (50m x 27.35m) is heated to 26°C and ranges from 1-metre at the shallow end to 2.75m at the deep end. The children’s pool (15.9m x 7.51m) is suitable for under-8s and is heated to 30°C, with the shallow end at 0.5m and the deep end at 0.8m. Indoor and outdoor changing facilities are available, plus a variety of hot and cold refreshments from the Lido Cafe.
We hold a number of events at Sandford Parks Lido, including triathlons for both adults and children, outdoor theatre performances, a midnight swim and even a dog swim at the end of our season. We run a variety of fitness classes throughout the year, such as yoga, aqua aerobics and land-based circuit training, as well as offering opportunities for skill development through lifeguard courses and swimming lessons.
We are proud to offer our seasonal members free parking and discounts in the cafe and on fitness classes and we hold two member-exclusive events a year. Sandford Parks Lido is a 10-minute walk from Cheltenham town centre and just a short car or bus journey from Cheltenham Spa train station. We have a pay & display car park on site and a number of bike racks available.
